I am not a beach person. I don't really like going in the water. I always thought it was too cold where we live, but nope, I just don't like it.
Spending all day on the beach, or by the pool, is not my thing. I want to be out doing things. Hiking, zip lining, out on a boat. We had a few quiet beach times, but I was always ready for the next adventure.
Even when it's 72 and muggy I need a sweater.
It's always best to check if the condo you are renting has AC so you don't end up packing frivolous things like pajamas.
I thought I hated hot weather, but it's actually quite tolerable and comfortable ocean side.
A tropical environment with plenty of fruit, rice and chicken makes for one happy rash free baby. Two days home the rash and itchiness came back, which makes me wonder if he is reacting to something in our house ...
Minivans are convenient.
Working out before going to Hawaii was worth it. I was able to power through a four mile hike - two of it uphill with B on my back - without feeling too tired. And when I woke up the next morning I wasn't sore!
I love Oregon.
The best part of a vacation is watching B experience new things.

On of my friends cut out all sorts of things from her diet and her son's severe skin allergy completed cleared within 3 days of being in Florida. Her doctor suggested perhaps it was a humidity thing and that she needed to make sure she had a humidified installed. She's said it's a lot better since it was installed, but still not as wonderful was when they were on vacation. Just a thought.
B is too cute, looks like he was a really busy boy on vacation!
Your photos are great!
I LOVE the Oregon coast, but I am not a fan of swimming beaches...the sand and saltwater everywhere--ick.
Glad your vacay was fun and that it is good to be home!
